Navy Yard's next wave

At the Philadelphia Navy Yard, where many projects are in various stages, there are several that are in progress and will round out the offerings available at the South Philadelphia site. Permits have been issued for 1200 Normandy Place, a 611-unit multifamily development by Ensemble Real Estate Investments and Mosaic Development Partners, and will bring the first new residential project to the Navy Yard. A hub for life sciences, the Ensemble-Mosaic team is moving forward with 1201 Normandy Place, a 100,000-square-foot life sciences building being built on speculation and Gattuso Development Partners secured construction financing to begin the development of a $50 million-plus, 130,000-square-foot life sciences manufacturing facility at 2500 League Island Blvd.
